Vance grew up in a small town in Maryland called Glenarden Woods. It was there where he learned the harsh realities of the streets and urban culture. From drugs to violence, to sex money and lies, Vance, a God fearing man growing up in the hood had many examples of murder and prison and quickly made his decision on what road not travel. Becoming addicted to music as a teenager with the musical influences of Jay-Z, Nas, Mobb Deep, and the late greats the Notorious B.I.G and Tupac Shakur, Vance began writing his own story and thoughts to share with his peers, and ultimately the world. From a hard working boy at the age of 12 to a hard working man, Vance knew the importance of money to survive. He also quickly learned the meaning of the word splurge, as a nightlife filled with music, beautiful women and alcohol became a constant in his life. Even though he knew the importance of money and being a hard working man, he dreaded the thought of working for someone else for the rest of his life to get money. Vance, reppin the D.M.V. (The District, Maryland &Virginia) decided to drop his debut album Thats Tight to showcase his talent, make his money, and become a permanent part of Hip Hop culture.

dc rappers taz money bio
I liked to say he’s better than the veterans that’s twice his age. Taz Money, born to the world as Dante Arnett on the 29th day of September is 21 years of lyrical fire. Showing signs of his genius at an early age by writing rhymes as young as 8, Taz was born into the world of Hip Hop. Dealing with the absence of his father, Taz took heed to the lyrics of notorious male figures. Although young without siblings, Taz knew the strength of his mother could not make him into a man and naturally he became a man in the streets of Glenarden, MD.
As Taz Money became more knowledgeable about the music industry he realized the producers are paid substantially more than the artist. At the age of 12, Taz Money made the rare combination of artist and producer seem instinctual. By age 13, he caught the attention of top industry producer, Pharell Williams at Washington DC’s 95.5 radio station. This experience gave Taz an insight into the politics of the music business.
Mature enough to carry the torch yet young enough to "Get it Popping if you want", Taz Money’s skills are bound to burn through the burden of not receiving proper recognition as an artist in the overlooked District of Columbia. Taz Money is undeniably swift with melodic metaphors and body bouncing beats. As a youthful, gifted artist and producer, Taz Money will leave the industry burning with all 10 tracks from his premier LP, "For The Love of Money" released by SECC Music Group.
